Share the Harvest was formed in 2003 by Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta area farmers with a keen desire to share the abundance we enjoy in Canada with those who go hungry in the world.

We direct 2 projects in the Fort Saskatchewan area that work with community farmers and sponsors make a difference. Both our projects aim to grow and sell crops with  the proceedsdonated to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank. We have a passion as a farm community to work towards alleviating world hunger.

The Canadian Foodgrains Bank is run by 15 churches and is described as “A Christian Response to Hunger”. Our donations are eligible for up to $25 million in grants from the Canadian Government made available for aid in developing nations.  The funds are used for emergency food aid as well as educating and equipping people around the world to have more secure access to food.
